Although not directly about my MA, the sad passing of one of my musical heroes, Tony Clarkin of Magnum could not go unmentioned.

Tony was one of, if not the greatest lyricists this country has ever produced, and a damn fine guitar player to boot!

Magnum has been a part of my photographic and musical life for well over 40 years, I have seen (and photographed) them on countless occasions. Every concert was amazing, and every album was a musical journey through all of the emotions and feelings, there was a song for every occasion and an occasion for every song.

Tony was a true legend, a major talent and a beautiful human being. He has written some of the most poinient anti-war songs with lyrics that never fail to bring a tear to the eye.

He can never be replaced, the world has lost one of the greatest musicians we have ever seen, rest in peace Tony and know that your music has touched the lives of millions of fans and will continue to do so far far into the future.

We will all Keep your nightlight burning!
